
SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY, CA — A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday in a serious crash after veering off the road and striking a power pole in Porterville, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The Porterville accident happened around 3:00 p.m. near Avenue 224. Early reports indicate the rider was traveling east when he lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway, and violently collided with the pole.
Investigators have not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation. Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the CHP Porterville office.
