
ARVIN, CA — A tragic off-roading accident on Rockpile Road near Arvin left a man in his 20s dead and the female driver, also in her 20s, with serious injuries. The crash occurred on the afternoon of November 22, 2025, at around 12:35 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Authorities report that the off-road vehicle, driven by the woman, veered off the roadway and crashed into two trees. The male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, despite officers administering CPR upon arrival. The driver was rushed to Kern Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Investigators found the vehicle wrapped around a tree, highlighting the severity of the impact. The Kern County Coroner’s Office arrived shortly before 1 p.m. to begin its investigation.
The CHP continues to investigate the Rockpile Road accident, and it remains unclear whether alcohol, drugs, or speed were factors in the crash.
