FULLERTON, CA — Seven teenagers were hospitalized Saturday night after a pickup truck overturned in a single-vehicle crash in Fullerton, while the driver — also a teenager — underwent a DUI evaluation, authorities reported.
The Fullerton accident occurred around 11:05 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Elm Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the truck overturned with several minors inside. All seven occupants, described as teenagers, were transported to local hospitals with injuries considered minor, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
The driver, identified only as an adult teenager, was evaluated at the scene for suspected driving under the influence. However, officials have not released additional information regarding his identity or legal status.
Footage from the scene shows multiple teens receiving medical treatment on the ground, all wearing neck braces, before being placed on gurneys and transported by ambulance. Officers were also seen inspecting the overturned vehicle and collecting evidence related to the rollover.
Authorities said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
