ORANGE COVE, CA (October 18, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle collision near Orange Cove resulted in one death and injuries on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident took place around 4:50 p.m. on Hills Valley Road just north of Manning Avenue.
The multi-vehicle crash near Orange Cove involved a Toyota Corolla driven by a 22-year-old man who was passing other traffic heading northbound, and a GMC driven by a 25-year-old woman heading southbound. The situation escalated when a third vehicle, driven by a 48-year-old man, collided with the sideways GMC.
The woman driving the GMC died from her injuries at the scene, while the third driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
