RIALTO, CA (October 29, 2024) – In a tragic incident on Sunday evening, a pedestrian was killed and others were injured in Rialto, California, when a driver made an illegal turn and caused a multi-vehicle accident.
At around 6:30 p.m., at the intersection of Etiwanda and N. Riverside avenues, the driver of a green Dodge van turned illegally and collided with a black Audi. The crash propelled the van into two pedestrians.
A 50-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while a woman pedestrian and a 2-year-old child from the Audi suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge was also hospitalized with minor injuries and has been taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence. The Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the DUI crash in Rialto.
