Amazon Delivery Van Involved in Fatal Huntington Beach Crash

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (September 9, 2024) — Early Sunday morning, a tragic incident occurred in Huntington Beach when a Toyota Sienna and an Amazon cargo van collided, resulting in the deaths of both occupants of the car. The crash took place around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Bolsa Avenue and Graham Street, as confirmed by local authorities.
A gray Freightliner cargo van, driven by a 39-year-old man from Fountain Valley, was moving east on Bolsa and proceeded through the intersection on a green light. At the same moment, the southbound Sienna entered the intersection from Graham Street, leading to the Huntington Beach crash.
The driver of the Sienna, a 61-year-old man from Garden Grove, and his adult female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating the crash further, including whether the Sienna’s driver might have disregarded a traffic signal. The van’s driver, who sustained minor injuries, stayed on-site and cooperated with law enforcement.
