Big Rig Crash Near Hollister Leaves One Dead, Closes Highway 25

HOLLISTER, CA (August 26, 2024) — A portion of Highway 25 north of Hollister was closed Monday following a fatal crash involving two big rigs, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The collision prompted authorities to shut down the highway between Bolsa Road and Shore Road while they investigated the scene and cleared the wreckage.
CHP urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes, including Fraizer Lake Road, San Felipe Road, and Highway 101. As of 3:47 p.m., Caltrans reported that Highway 25 had fully reopened.
