Car Crashes Into Pomona Medical Building [Pomona, CA]

POMONA, CA (March 20, 2024) — A chaotic scene unfolded in Pomona on Monday night when a driver lost control and crashed into a medical building, leaving patients and staff in disarray.

The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of Orange Grove Avenue and Artesia Street. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver appeared to be speeding on the westbound 10 Freeway before striking a “do not enter” sign while exiting the freeway.

The vehicle then veered through the intersection, jumped a curb, and plowed into the medical building, causing significant damage to several medical offices.

Two occupants of the car were rushed to Pomona Valley Hospital, located across the street, and were reported to be in stable condition by Tuesday evening.
