Child Brought to Trauma Center After Head-On Collision
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 18, 2024) — A child was airlifted to a trauma center following a head-on collision on Dos Palmas Road in Victorville on Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. on May 17, 2024, in the 14000 block of Dos Palmas Road, just west of El Evado Road. A black Mazda3 and a gray four-door vehicle collided head-on for reasons yet unknown.
Emergency responders requested an airship to transport the injured child from Victor Valley Global Medical Center. A second child and an adult male, both injured, were transported by ambulance.
The incident led to the closure of Dos Palmas Road in both directions. The California Highway Patrol’s Victorville Station is investigating the cause of the accident.
