Crenshaw Blvd Crash Leaves Family Hospitalized, Father Arrested for Fleeing [Los Angeles, CA]

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 11, 2024) — In a distressing incident early Sunday morning in Los Angeles County, a man was arrested after attempting to flee the scene of a violent crash that injured his family, including a 5-month-old baby, authorities reported. 

 

The crash happened near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and 52nd Street in Hyde Park, involving a single vehicle colliding head-on with a power pole.

 

The impact caused significant damage to the family’s sedan and resulted in serious injuries for the occupants. The father, reportedly driving at the time, attempted to desert his family, including an adult female and two children, aged 5 months and 7 years. 

 

Los Angeles Fire Department responders transported the infant to the hospital in critical condition, while the mother and 7-year-old, who complained of body pain, also received medical attention.

 

The father, who sustained serious injuries himself, was later apprehended by the police. The involvement of alcohol or drugs in the accident has yet to be determined. The Crenshaw Blvd crash highlights the need for responsible driving and the consequences of negligence on the road.
