Disney California Adventure Ride Malfunction Leads to Rescue
SANTA ANA, CA (July 8, 2024) — Approximately two dozen guests were rescued from a roller coaster at Disney California Adventure after it became stuck on Sunday afternoon. The incident involved the Incredicoaster, situated in the Pixar Pier’s Incredibles’ Park neighborhood, around 1:30 p.m.
Disneyland employees swiftly responded to the situation, rescuing 20 riders who were stranded at a height of 120 feet on the coaster. To combat the heat while awaiting rescue, those trapped were provided with umbrellas.
The precise cause of the Disney ride malfunction has not been disclosed, and it remains unclear how long the riders were stuck before being safely brought down. Disney has not yet provided a statement regarding the incident or any potential implications for future operations of the ride.
