Driver Sought After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 21, 2024) — Deputies are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Victorville. The collision happened just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in a residential area near Mesa View Drive and Olivine Road, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The vehicle, described as royal blue, was traveling south on Mesa View Road when it struck a pedestrian near the intersection with Olivine Road. The driver fled the scene immediately after the collision.
The severely injured man was transported to a trauma center but was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released, and his age is not known at this time.
