DUI Suspect Arrested After Fatal Collision with Motorcyclist in Fullerton

FULLERTON, CA (June 13, 2024) — A tragic incident happened in Fullerton, Orange County late Wednesday night, when a motorcyclist was killed in a collision. Fullerton Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Gilbert Street and Orangethorpe Avenue around 9:45 p.m., where a motorcyclist traveling northbound was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The impact caused the motorcycle to become lodged under the car, which continued for several hundred feet before a good Samaritan intervened to stop the driver. Tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was arrested after failing a field sobriety test conducted by the police, heightening the tragedy with suspicions of DUI.
