EL MONTE, CA (February 18, 2024) — An intense collision between a semi-truck and a blue sedan ignited a fire on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in El Monte, sending one individual to the hospital.
The El Monte freeway blaze unfolded at approximately 5:05 a.m. eastbound, just shy of the Santa Anita Avenue exit. Authorities rushed to the scene, where they found the sedan engulfed in flames and a person trapped inside.
