Encino Residents Seek Justice After Hit-and-Run Damages Multiple Cars

ENCINO, CA (August 13, 2024) — Residents of an Encino neighborhood are seeking justice after a pickup truck crashed into several parked cars early Saturday morning and then fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of damaged vehicles and costly repair bills.
The Encino hit and run happened around 5 a.m. on August 10 on Killion Street between Zelzah and Newcastle avenues. Surveillance footage reportedly shows the truck speeding down the street, hitting the first parked car with such force that it lifted the vehicle’s wheels off the ground. The truck continued to collide with more vehicles before coming to a stop.
One of the car owners, who wished to remain anonymous, explained to local news that the truck, possibly a Ford F150 or F250, lost control and bounced off a row of cars. The driver of the truck, seen in the footage wearing long shorts and a ponytail, briefly exited the vehicle to inspect the damage before driving away.
The victims have filed a police report and are distributing flyers in hopes of identifying the driver. They believe the truck likely sustained significant damage and left a large pool of oil at the scene, suggesting it may not have traveled far.
