Ex-Seahawk, 49er Richard Sherman Faces DUI Charges Again
WASHINGTON STATE (February 25, 2024) — Former NFL star Richard Sherman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Saturday in Washington State, reports confirm.
The incident, involving the Super Bowl-winning cornerback, occurred when Washington State Patrol pulled him over for exceeding speed limits on Interstate 405 in Renton. Sherman, clocked at 79 mph in a 60 mph zone, allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the arrest.
Authorities noted signs of intoxication, leading to Sherman’s arrest despite his refusal to undergo a breathalyzer test.
With a history of a similar arrest in 2021, Sherman is slated for a court hearing on Monday. The Richard Sherman DUI incident marks another legal hurdle for the athlete, raising concerns about repeat DUI offenses among public figures.
