Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Hwy 58 Near Brandt Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 24, 2024) — A tragic incident occurred on Highway 58 near Brandt Road, west of Bakersfield, claiming the life of a motorcyclist on Friday afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the collision, involving a Dodge pickup and the motorcycle, took place shortly before 3 p.m.

Emergency responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The crash led to significant disruptions, with westbound lanes on Highway 58 temporarily closed to traffic.
