Fiery Crash in Manteca Claims 4 Lives, Including Infant; 3 Kids Hospitalized

The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. Saturday near Van Ryn Avenue, where a 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan veered off the road and burst into flames.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the minivan was traveling westbound under damp conditions from recent rain, moving at speeds estimated between 60 to 65 mph.
For reasons still under investigation, the driver lost control, collided with the center median, and then the vehicle became airborne across the Van Ryn Avenue undercrossing. The minivan ultimately struck the overpass, overturned, and ignited.
The Manteca accident is currently under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
