Head-On Crash in Desert Hot Springs Kills One, Injures Another

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (September 14, 2024) — A tragic two-vehicle collision in Desert Hot Springs resulted in one fatality and serious injuries to another individual early Saturday morning. Desert Hot Springs Police responded to the incident around 4 a.m. in the 15600 block of Palm Drive, where they discovered the collision in the southbound lanes.

 

Upon arrival, officers found one driver deceased at the scene, with his identity withheld pending notification of next of kin by the coroner’s office. The second driver was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center, suffering from serious injuries; details regarding his condition have not been further disclosed.

 

Preliminary investigations into the head-on crash in Desert Hot Springs suggest the deceased driver was traveling northbound on Palm Drive and, for reasons still under investigation, veered into the southbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision with the second vehicle.
