Hit-and-Run in Fresno County Claims Life of Go-Kart Driver Kenneth Owen

FRESNO, CA (August 27, 2024) — A Fresno County family is grieving after 38-year-old Kenneth Owen was killed in a hit-and-run crash while driving a Go-Kart on Mountain View Avenue near Peach Avenue on Saturday morning. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene where Owen was found unresponsive and pronounced dead.
The driver, believed to be in a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck, fled the scene without checking on Owen. Owen’s sister, Rachelle Resendez, mentioned that he lived in the area and used the Go-Kart for transportation, despite it not being street-legal.
The CHP urges anyone with information about the hit-and-run in Fresno to come forward, assuring potential witnesses that they can remain anonymous.
