Hit-and-Run on Silverado Trail Leaves One Dead, Five Injured
YOUNTVILLE, CA (June 10, 2024) — A tragic head-on collision resulted in one fatality and five injuries on Saturday afternoon east of Yountville, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. near Silverado Vineyards at 6121 Silverado Trail.
According to Officer Marc Renspurger, a vehicle carrying four passengers was traveling southbound when it veered into the northbound lane, colliding with an oncoming vehicle that had two occupants.
Following the crash, the driver of the southbound vehicle fled the scene on foot and is currently being sought by authorities.
Investigations are ongoing as officials work to determine the cause of the Silverado Trail hit and run and locate the fleeing driver.
