Irvine Sets DUI Checkpoint to Curb Impaired Driving

IRVINE, CA (February 19, 2024) — The Irvine Police Department has announced a DUI and Driver’s License checkpoint scheduled for February 24, 2024, aimed at enhancing road safety.
Located at the intersection of Jamboree Road and Alton Parkway, the checkpoint will operate from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., serving as a deterrent to impaired driving.
This enforcement effort is part of the department’s ongoing commitment to reducing accidents and fatalities caused by drivers under the influence.
Funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Irvine DUI checkpoint also underscores the legal obligations to inform the public in advance.
