Jet Ski Collision at Shasta Lake Claims Life of 19-Year-Old
SHASTA, CA (September 12, 2024) — A tragic jet ski collision at Shasta Lake resulted in the death of 19-year-old Dominic Marshall Lencioni from Arroyo Grande. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon in the Shannon Cove area, near Sacramento Point, involving Lencioni and another teenager.
According to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened when a 21-year-old jet ski operator collided with the two teens. Emergency responders were called to Bridge Bay Marina, where they discovered Lencioni with severe facial and chin injuries and the other teen with a knee injury. The 21-year-old involved in the collision did not sustain injuries requiring medical attention.
Despite immediate medical efforts, Lencioni became unresponsive at the marina and was rushed to Mercy Medical Center in Redding, where he was later pronounced dead. The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has since confirmed his identity.
