La Habra Police Officer Critically Injured in Collision

La Habra, CA (August 8, 2024) — A crash in La Habra on Monday morning left a police officer and another person injured.
The collision occurred around 9:15 a.m. near South Walnut Street and West Lambert Road, involving an on-duty motorcycle officer and another driver. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded, transporting one injured person to the hospital at 9:18 a.m. and a second at 9:30 a.m.
The officer is in critical condition, while the condition of the other individual remains unknown.
Footage from noon showed a wrecked motorcycle in the intersection near a strip mall. Blanca Cerrado, a longtime resident, mentioned frequent accidents at this intersection and suggested a green arrow traffic light might help prevent future crashes.
