LAPD Motorcycle Officer Injured in Downtown LA Traffic Accident
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 14, 2024) — An LAPD motorcycle officer was injured after a collision with a vehicle in downtown Los Angeles’s Chinatown area on Monday afternoon.
The incident, which took place around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Figueroa Street, occurred while the officer was managing traffic due to a nearby Dodgers playoff game against the New York Mets.
The officer, struck by a black sedan, was swiftly transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition, according to Lt. Humberto Najera of the LAPD, who spoke with local news. The sedan’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation into this LA traffic accident.
