Lomita Apartment Complex Engulfed in Flames, Residents Displaced [Lomita, CA]

LOMITA, CA (April 1, 2024) — A huge fire broke out at the Vista Verde Condominium complex in Lomita, leading to the displacement of several residents, as reported by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 

The incident began at around 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, quickly escalating from a second to a third alarm fire, necessitating the response of approximately 150 firefighters to contain the blaze.

The fire ravaged the apartment complex located in the 2000 block of Palos Verdes Drive, causing considerable damage, including the collapse of the second floor of the building.
