Long Beach Mass Shooting Leaves Seven Wounded, Four Critical

LONG BEACH, CA (May 5, 2024) — A violent shooting occurred late Saturday night in a Long Beach bar parking lot, resulting in seven people wounded, four of whom are in critical condition. The incident took place around 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of South Street and Paramount Boulevard.

Long Beach Police responded to the scene where they found multiple victims struck by gunfire. The victims were either self-transported or taken to the hospital by first responders. According to the police, three of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the other four are critically wounded.

Details on what led to the Long Beach mass shooting are still unclear as of this writing, and a motive has not been established. 

The suspects had fled the scene before the arrival of the police, leaving behind a scene strewn with bullet casings. As of now, no suspect information has been released as the investigation continues.
