Major Crash in Camarillo Shuts Down 101 Freeway; Two Hospitalized

CAMARILLO, CA (September 22, 2024) — A severe single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning has closed a portion of the 101 Freeway in Camarillo, leaving two people hospitalized. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on the northbound lanes near Carmen Drive.
The California Highway Patrol’s Ventura Area office announced the full closure at 1:35 a.m., describing it as a “major injury crash.” Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to the hospital, but their conditions remain unknown.
