Major-Injury Crash Temporarily Closes South San Jose Intersection
SAN JOSE, CA (April 9, 2024) — A significant traffic incident in South San Jose led to the temporary closure of a key intersection near Highway 101 on Monday afternoon.
The solo-vehicle crash occurred around 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of Monterey and Metcalf Roads, as reported by the San Jose Police Department via social media.
The southbound lanes of Monterey Road at Metcalf Road were cordoned off to facilitate an in-depth investigation into the circumstances of the crash. Local authorities urged commuters to seek alternative routes due to expected severe impacts on traffic flow.
