Man and Teen Boy Die in North Fork American River Incident

CALIFORNIA (June 25, 2024) — A man and a teenage boy died, and another teenager was rescued after being swept downstream on the North Fork American River on Monday, according to California State Parks officials.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a possible drowning at Lake Clementine Trail before 5:30 p.m. Officials stated that three people had attempted to swim across the river but were overpowered by the current.
