Man Dies After Robbery and Hit-and-Run in Fontana

FONTANA, CA (March 8, 2024) — A devastating sequence of events unfolded in Fontana, California, leading to the death of a 40-year-old man from Inglewood, following a robbery and subsequent intentional hit-and-run.
The hit-and-run in Fontana happened on Tuesday, March 5, in a Goodwill parking lot located at the intersection of Cherry and Baseline avenues. Fontana Police Department officers arrived at the scene to find the victim with critical injuries, leading to his later demise at a local hospital.
The victim’s identity remains undisclosed.
Further investigations led to the arrest of 45-year-old Hiram Brinson and 38-year-old Rudy Caress, both of Fontana, identified as the culprits behind the robbery and the deliberate attack.
