Man Killed in Tarzana Hit-and-Run, Search for Driver Continues

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 16, 2024) — A tragic hit-and-run accident claimed the life of a 73-year-old man in Tarzana, Los Angeles, late Thursday night. The collision happened around 11:20 p.m. on Ventura Boulevard in the 19500 block.
Witnesses report the man was crossing outside a crosswalk when he was struck by a dark gray sedan heading eastbound. The vehicle did not stop and continued driving. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police found a dark gray sedan about half a mile east of the crash site, near Ventura Boulevard and Vanalden Avenue. Although the car has been towed, authorities have not yet confirmed if it was involved in the Tarzana hit-and-run. The search for the driver is ongoing.
