Metro Bus Crashes into Pole in Studio City, Several Injured

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 23, 2024) — A Metro bus crash in Studio City early Friday morning sent at least seven people to the hospital.
The collision, reported around 4:30 a.m. on Lankershim Boulevard near the 101 Freeway, involved the bus striking a pole, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Significant damage to the bus’s front and shattered glass were evident at the scene.
Metro has not yet detailed the cause of the crash. LAFD officials confirmed that six individuals were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while one person declined transport. Nicholas Tate, a passenger, described the incident to local news agencies, stating he had to exit through the bus’s top and suffered neck and facial injuries.
