Motorcycle Rider Dies in Crash with Prius in Arden-Arcade
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 30, 2024) — A motorcycle rider in his 20s was fatally injured after a collision with a car on Saturday in the Arden-Arcade area, the California Highway Patrol North Sacramento office reported. The accident happened at 1:05 p.m. at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Dennis Way.
The motorcyclist was reportedly heading north on Eastern Avenue when a Prius, operated by an 80-year-old man, turned left from Dennis Way into the path of the motorcycle. The exact speed of the motorcycle at the time of the crash remains undetermined.
Following the Arden-Arcade crash, the motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital where he was later declared dead. The driver of the Prius did not sustain any injuries, according to CHP officials.
