Motorcyclist Dies After Collision Near Kelley Park in San Jose

SAN JOSE, CA (September 13, 2024) — A motorcyclist passed away on Thursday following a traffic collision earlier this week near Kelley Park in San Jose.
The accident happened at approximately 6:25 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Granada Way and Lucretia Avenue. According to the San Jose Police Department, a man riding a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on Lucretia Avenue was involved in a collision with a 2019 Toyota RAV4. The female driver of the SUV was making a left turn from westbound Granada Way onto southbound Lucretia Avenue when the incident happened.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where he was initially stabilized but later succumbed to his injuries. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release his identity once it is confirmed and his family has been notified.
