Multi-Car Pile-Up in Northeast Fresno Claims One Life
FRESNO, CA (April 9, 2024) — A devastating five-car collision resulted in the death of one individual in northeast Fresno on Sunday night.
The accident occurred just after 9 pm at the intersection of Friant and Audubon Roads. According to police reports, 20-year-old Huy Nguyen Truong was traveling south on Friant when he ran a red light at Audubon, triggering a chain-reaction crash.
An SUV entering the intersection struck Truong’s car, which subsequently collided with three other vehicles that were stopped at the light. Truong was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The condition of other involved parties has not been disclosed, and it remains unclear if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the specifics of the NE Fresno car crash.
