Multi-Vehicle Crash in Palm Desert Injures Two

SANTA ANA, CA (August 28, 2024) — A multi-vehicle crash in Palm Desert on Tuesday afternoon left two people with serious injuries and led to the closure of Monterey Avenue, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. The crash reportedly happened around 2 p.m. in the 43000 block of Monterey Avenue.
Firefighters arriving at the scene found two individuals trapped in the wreckage. Both were quickly extracted and transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, the fire department reported.
As a result of the collision, Monterey Avenue was closed in both directions between Parkview Drive and Gran Via while authorities conducted their investigation.
