Multi-Vehicle Crash in South Sacramento Leaves One Dead, Another Injured
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 22, 2024) — A multi-vehicle collision in south Sacramento on Wednesday morning resulted in one fatality and left another person hospitalized. The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Bruceville Road, near Sheldon Road, and in front of a Jiffy Lube.
Emergency responders arrived to find a driver with severe injuries who was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
Another individual from a different vehicle was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
The Sacramento Police Major Collision Investigation Unit is handling the investigation, and the road remained closed for several hours. The cause of the crash in South Sacramento is currently under investigation.
