A 17-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision with a pickup truck near Castle Park High School on Friday morning, authorities said.
The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hilltop Drive and East Rienstra Street, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
Investigators said the teen was traveling north on Hilltop Drive when he collided head-on with a Ford F-150. The impact ejected him from his motorcycle, sending him into a westbound GMC Yukon.
Emergency responders transported the teenager, a local resident, to a hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the motorcycle vs truck crash in Chula Vista remains under investigation.
