Authorities are searching for a driver who fled after hitting a pedestrian in South Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. at Ming Avenue and H Street, where a man pushing a shopping cart was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver did not stop, leaving the victim injured in the roadway.
Paramedics transported the man to a hospital, but details about his condition have not been released. Bakersfield Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect or vehicle involved in the South Bakersfield hit-and-run to call 661-327-7111.
