LOS ANGELES, CA – A lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court accuses NBA star LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, of involvement in a 2022 car crash, though both deny any wrongdoing.
The complaint, filed in October by April Alamanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen, alleges that their vehicle was struck by one driven by Bronny James on a highway near Littlerock, California. The plaintiffs claim they suffered injuries requiring medical treatment and financial losses due to vehicle damage. They are seeking unspecified damages.
Despite these claims, both the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station and the California Highway Patrol stated they have no records of the alleged collision. In response, attorneys representing LeBron and Bronny James filed a formal denial, listing 14 defenses against the accusations.
At the time of the alleged incident, Bronny James was in high school. Now, he plays alongside his father for the Los Angeles Lakers after being drafted in 2023. As the legal proceedings move forward, the James family said they maintain their confidence in the legal system and intend to contest the claims.
