MODESTO, CA – A woman lost her life late Monday night after her vehicle collided with an oak tree on River Road, authorities said.
Officers with the Modesto Police Department responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash in the 1000 block of River Road around 11:45 p.m.
When they arrived, they found the driver, identified as 33-year-old Jovanna Serafin of Modesto, unresponsive inside a white vehicle. Emergency personnel confirmed she died at the scene.
The cause of the Modesto car crash remains under investigation. Police are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact Officer Cristian Avina at Avinac@modestopd.com.
