LOS ANGELES, CA – Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 49-year-old man in critical condition in Boyle Heights earlier this month. The LA Police Department released video footage on Wednesday in hopes of identifying the driver or vehicle.
The crash happened February 5, just before 9 p.m., near 1st and Fresno streets. Security footage shows a silver 1999-2004 Honda Odyssey striking the victim from behind as he crossed the street. The impact sent the man airborne before he landed on the pavement. The driver did not stop and continued driving.
Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition three weeks later. Authorities urge anyone with information about this Boyle Heights hit-and-run case to contact LAPD detectives at 213-486-0760.
