A tragic multi-vehicle collision in the U.S. Highway 395 in Victorville claimed the life of beloved father Saul Carbajal on March 26, 2025.
The fatal crash happened around 5:29 p.m. north of Bear Valley Road when a black Cadillac Escalade, a gray Chevrolet Tahoe, and a white Freightliner tractor-trailer collided across both lanes. Authorities confirmed that the drivers of the Cadillac and Tahoe were pronounced dead at the scene, with Carbajal at the wheel of the Cadillac.
Investigators say the collision began when the black SUV, attempting to pass the gray SUV, collided head-on with an oncoming semi-truck. The Freightliner driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Victorville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team has taken over the case. A GoFundMe has been created to help with funeral costs and to support his family.
