SACRAMENTO, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a Tesla on State Route 32 near Sacramento Avenue on Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Willows.
The collision happened around 6:30 p.m., when a 40-year-old Tesla driver from Hamilton City was making a left turn onto Sacramento Avenue. At the same time, a 43-year-old man from Forest Ranch was riding a 2022 Harley Davidson eastbound on SR-32. Authorities said the Tesla driver failed to see the motorcyclist, leading to the crash.
The impact sent the motorcyclist into a stop sign, ejecting him from his bike. He sustained fatal injuries at the scene. The Tesla driver remained on-site and cooperated with investigators. Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have not yet released the names of those involved.
