A 28-year-old Santa Ana man was arrested Sunday following a high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle through multiple Orange County cities.
Jonathan McLaurin was spotted by officers driving a black Land Rover Sport near Harbor Boulevard and Garden Grove Boulevard. Police identified the vehicle as stolen earlier that day during a commercial burglary. When officers attempted to pull him over, McLaurin fled at high speeds, triggering the pursuit.
Authorities said McLaurin rammed two police vehicles during the chase before coming to a stop on the eastbound 91 Freeway near Imperial Highway. After refusing to exit voluntarily, police deployed a K9 to apprehend him.
McLaurin was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to be booked into the Orange County Jail upon release.
