A 20-year-old man identified as Alonso Hernandez died following a head-on collision in Visalia on Sunday.
The crash happened just after 12:30 p.m. on Goshen Avenue between Mooney Boulevard and Demaree Street when a Nissan Altima traveling east crossed over and struck a Toyota Tacoma head-on, according to police.
Both drivers were taken to Kaweah Health, where Hernandez succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
