A 74-year-old man from Bend, Oregon, lost his life when his white BMW collided with a motorhome in a Desert Hot Springs mobile home park on Wednesday afternoon.
The collision with a motorhome happened on North Indian Canyon Drive, north of 14th Avenue, at approximately 4:15 p.m. Emergency responders transported the sole occupant to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that the driver was wearing his seat belt and that neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be factors. The impact caused minor to moderate damage to the motorhome.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and the man’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
