
A multi-vehicle collision on the northbound 405 Freeway near Brentwood early Saturday morning resulted in one fatality.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash near Brentwood happened at around 3:18 a.m. at the Skirball Center Drive exit. It involved a black four-door sedan, a blue Toyota RAV4, a gold Toyota Corolla, and a gray Toyota.
Witnesses reported that a victim was ejected from one of the vehicles, and emergency responders pronounced the individual dead at the scene.
A SigAlert prompted the closure of three lanes on the freeway for several hours while investigators worked to determine the cause of the collision. All lanes have since reopened. The victim’s name, age, and gender remain undisclosed.
