A 16-year-old riding an electric bike was hospitalized Tuesday after a wrong-way crash at the intersection of Wardman Bullock Road and San Angelo Drive in Rancho Cucamonga.
The e-bike crash in Rancho Cucamonga reportedly happened around 8:35 a.m. when the teen, traveling on the wrong side of the road, was spotted by a van driver who swerved to avoid a collision.
The sudden maneuver caused the teen to also swerve, resulting in his ejection into the air and subsequent impact with the van. He was taken to a local hospital and remains in stable condition. The van driver was unharmed.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
